The promoter may run multiple competitions at one time, each competition will have a predetermined prize.
Question (when there are any):
The question being answered proves the element of skill or knowledge required to be eligible for the opportunity to win the prize.
Entry:
The question (when there are any) related to the prize must be answered correctly, alongside the agreeance of paying the set fee to be entered into the draw in question.
Payment
Payment will be made in pounds sterling (GBP) by the entrant via the payment gateway on the website. Alternatively, the entrant may opt in via our text entrance option. To which the terms and conditions they agree to will apply.
The entrant
The entrant is defined as those who enter the competitions online or via other methods the promoter uses via other platforms.
The winner
The winner will be chosen at random once the maximum number of entries has been reached, or when the set end date is reached. Proof of identity must be provided upon collection of the prize and match the details provided on entry of the competition. A prize can not be collected by someone else on the winner’s behalf. Subject to the winner’s consent there may be a photo/testimonial taken for use on the website/social media pages.
Competition duration
Each competition will run until the maximum number of entries has been met. After which, all entrants will be notified of a draw date within 48 hours of the competition’s close. The prize may still be awarded at the discretion of the promoter even if the maximum number of paid entries has not been met.
1. General
By entering the competition, entrants are deemed to have read and agreed to these terms and conditions and are legally bound by them.
1.2 All entrants must submit all the contact details requested by the promoter which include email address, contact number and full name. to be used to notify the winner, to be able to post the winner’s name and residence on the winner’s section of the promoter’s website and social media platforms and to comply with the privacy policy.
1.3 It is the entrant’s responsibility to provide the promoter with correct and up-to-date contact information.
The promoter accepts no responsibility for failure or inability to make contact with any entrant due to errors in the providing of inaccurate information from the entrant.
By entering the competition, the entrant (‘entrant’, ‘you’, your(s)’) will be deemed to have the legal capacity to do so. You will have read and fully understand the terms and conditions and are bound by them and any other relevant requirements set out in any promotional material.
Privacy policy
2.1 The Entrants and the Promoter recognise that the Promoter may use contact details and other data including personal data as defined by the Data Protection Act 1998 supplied by the Entrants to the Promoter to administer the Website and conduct the Competition according to these Terms and Conditions.
2.2 The Entrants and the promoter also recognise that the promoter may (either by choice or at the request of a third party) also disclose this information to relevant third parties for the purposes of the prevention of fraud, money laundering, legal or other financial or regulatory reasons.
Competition
3.1 The Competition is operated by that prize guy
3.2 The Competition is open for entry to all persons aged 18 or over from the UK and Ireland excluding the owners, their family, professional advisers or anyone else connected with the development or operation of the Website or conducts administration of the Competition in any way, shape or form
3.3 By entering into the Competition, all Entrants acknowledge that their payment for each entry to answer the Question (when there are any) and thereby enter the Competition does not guarantee in any way that they will win the prize.
3.4 Only completed Entries which contain the correct answer as held by the Promoter will be entered into the Competition. Failure to answer any question (when there are any) correctly via the website will still result in any entrant still being charged.
3.5 As a condition of entering the Competition, Entrants must ensure that, by doing so, they do not contravene any laws of their country of residence. The Promoter will not be liable in any way if an Entrant enters the Competition unlawfully;
3.6 The Entrants and the promoter recognise that the Competition, its administration and all associated activities are governed by English Law and the promoter and Entrants recognise that the County or High Courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction in the event of any dispute arising out of the Competition or its administration
3.7 The promoter reserves the right to refuse or disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds for believing that an entrant has contravened any of these terms and conditions or acted in a way that is reasonably considered by the Promoter to be illegal.
3.8 All Entries will become the property of the promoter on receipt and will not be returned.
3.9 The availability and pricing of competitions is at the discretion of the promoter and will be specified at the point of sale on the website.
ENTRY
4.1 In answering the Question (when there are any), the Entrant recognises that they must exercise skill, Knowledge and judgement to give the correct Answers;
4.2 There is no limit to the number of times a person can enter a competition. Unless the competition specifies a capped number of entries per person. Creating multiple accounts to enter prizes with capped ticket amounts will be seen as a breach of fair use and could potentially void entry. Refunds will not be given to those who create multiple accounts to exceed maximum entries.
4.3 To conclude an entry into the Competition, an Entrant will be asked to provide their contact details (including postal and e-mail addresses and a telephone number) and card payment details (for entry fee only). Once the Entry is submitted, the Entrant’s card payment will be electronically approved.
4.4 When the Maximum Number Of Entries and/or the Closing Date is reached, the Competition will close; however, the date may be brought forward if the entries are sold sooner than the closing date. Competitions will not be extended beyond the date specified.
4.5 All Entries to the Competition are final and no refunds shall be made at any time or for any reason, except in the case of entries submitted after the Closing Date or if the competition gets cancelled.
4.6 The promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into about the result of the Competition following the determination of the Winner as described above.
4.7 Each Entrant agrees that the usual requirement under the Consumer Protection(Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 for any goods and services ordered online to be supplied within 30 days will not apply to this Prize Competition.
4.8 Free Entry Route: – If you wish to enter any of our competitions for free then you must send a stamped, unenclosed letter stating: Which competition you would like to take part in, the answer to the question (when there are any) specific to that particular competition along with your personal details as follows
Name, Address, DOB, Contact phone number, email address and correct answer for that competition
The free entries will be treated in the exact same manner as the paid entries, in addition, the free entries will be entered into the ‘Live Draws’ in the same manner. Hand-delivered postal entries are not valid postal entries. Bulk entries received will be treated as one single entry. Any postal entry failing to meet the requirements will not be entered into the relevant competition.
You can’t use non-barcoded everyday stamps on postal entries. Old-style first and second-class stamps have expired and will NOT be considered as valid postal entries.
Postal entries must be received before the draw closes or they will not be entered into the draw.
If the number of paid entries reaches any cap or limit before your entry is received you will not be entered into the draw.
The promoter will not acknowledge or engage in correspondence regarding receipt of your free entry or if your answer (if applicable) is correct.

4.9 Send entries to address
All free entries must be received before the close of the competition, Any entries that fail to follow the criteria mentioned above will be void as per any Entry received
CLOSING THE COMPETITION
5.1 If the Number of Entries to the Competition does not exceed the maximum number of entries at the closing date, the Competition and prize offered will still be given regardless.
5.2 If the Winner cannot be contacted by the Promoter within 7 days of being notified of their status as the Winner by e-mail, telephone, Facebook or mail via the contact details submitted along with their entry, then the Promoter reserves the right to then select an Alternate winner, who will then have 7 days to accept the prize following the same routes of contact as the original Winner. The original winner will have no claim to the prize after the Alternate Winner is selected
CONTEST/SELECTING WINNER
6.1 The winning Entrant will be selected via a live draw, each entrant will be assigned a number which appears in their active ticket section. Each draw type may vary, generally a random number generator will be used, however, entrants will be notified of how the draw will be done. All draws will be made live within 48 hours of the competition closing. That prize guy guarantees that all winners will be randomly picked via the chosen draw method.
6.2 Full details of the draw date/time will be confirmed once the competition has been concluded via Facebook and or our website. This decision will be made within 48 hours of the close of the competition.
6.3 Entry lists will be displayed on our Facebook page – and/or our website with the draw date and time included.
6.4 There will only be one winner per competition unless otherwise stated.
PRIZE
7.1 The Promoter owns any prize offered from the time the competition is live until successful handover is completed as outlined in section 6.3
7.2 The Promoter makes no representations and gives no warranties about the Prize, its value, its condition or any other information provided on the Website. The Promoter makes no representations and gives no warranties that the information provided on the Website is accurate, complete or up to date. The Promoter does not imply or give any warranty or accept any valuation to the prize. The Entrant must make up their own decision through their own enquiries and legal advice before entering the competition.
7.3 The prize will only be awarded at the time of the draw, no alternatives will be offered under any circumstance.
7.4 Collection of the prize is the sole responsibility of the winner, from the Promoter’s address unless otherwise agreed between the Promoter and the Winner.
7.5 The winner will be required to provide proof of identity and proof of entry into the competition at the time that the prize is collected.
7.6 The prize for the competition is described on the Website (the “Prize”). Details of the Prize are, to the best of the Promoter’s knowledge, information and belief, correct as at the Opening Date.
7.8 The Prize may be supplied by a third-party supplier (the “Supplier”). Details of the Supplier (if any) will be provided on the Website. The promoter guarantees a minimum of 3* accommodation on all holiday prizes but all holiday prizes (unless stated) will be arranged specifically with the winner based in their needs.
MISC
8.1 With the winner’s consent only, if the winner agrees to allow the Promoter to display his or her name on the Website in accordance with the Privacy Policy. The name and town of residence of the Winner will be posted on the Website for the purposes of announcing the Winner of the Competition within 24 hours of the Winner being determined.
8.2 Only with the winners consent on the acceptance of the prize can the promoter use Photo(s) and or video(s) taken for promotional purposes, both directly after their win and in any future promotional material.
8.3 Entrants give consent for the Promoter to enter their personal details into their database and to use the information in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998 and subject to the terms of the Privacy Policy.
8.4 The Promoter reserves the right to cancel the Competition at any time either before or after tickets have been sold. If the Competition is cancelled, the Promoter will return any Entry Fees paid to each Entrant (either by bank card refund or by cheque and in one combined payment where several entries have been made by a competitor or store credit). Where the Entry Fee is returned, the Promoter shall have no further liability to the Entrant or to any other person;
8.5 Save for death or personal injury the Promoter will not be liable for any loss (including economic loss) suffered to or sustained by any person or property as a result of any act or omission of the Promoters, nor will their servants or their agents in developing, planning and Administrating the Competition, distributing the Prize to the Winner or following the distribution of the Prize; The Promoter accepts no liability for errors or omissions contained within the Prize details, description or specification or any other part of the Website. It is the responsibility of each Entrant (and in particular the Winner) to satisfy him/herself as to the accuracy of any such details and/or any content of this website.
8.6 The Promoter will not be liable for any loss suffered by an Entrant as a result of incomplete entries or failed computer communications or for any loss suffered as a result of use of the Website.
8.7 That Prize guy will not be accountable for any cancellations in flights, bookings or other arrangements made via 3rd parties which are beyond their control. They will also not be bound to offer alternative solutions in replacement of prize trips for reasons beyond their control. this includes weather, epidemics, pandemics, war, political unrest or any other forces beyond the operator’s control. it will be the responsibility of the third-party booking agent to offer the best advice on steps to take.
8.8 The Promoter does not accept responsibility for entries which they do not receive due to failures in computer systems, other malfunctions, high Internet traffic, hardware failure, software failure, server faults or any other reason.
8.9 These competition rules shall not create or be construed as creating any form of contract, joint venture or other agreement between any Entrant and the Promoters.
8.10 An entry shall be declared void (without any refund being given) if the entrant engages in: (a) any form of fraud (actual or apparent); (b) fraudulent misrepresentation; (c) fraudulent concealment; (d) hacking or interference with the proper functioning of the website; or (e) amending, or unauthorised use of, any of the code that constitutes the Website.
8.11 The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be immediately published on the competition home page.
8.12 The winner has sole responsibility for any duty/VAT as a result of taking delivery of a prize unless otherwise stated and also will be liable for any personal tax due on winnings.
Eligibility
9.1The competition is only open to all residents in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland aged 18 years or over, except:
(a) employees of the Promoter;
(b) employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or
(c) members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.
9.2 By entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition. If you fail to provide the Promoter with any such proof or other information that they may require within a reasonable time, you may be disqualified from the competition.
9.3 The Promoter will not accept competition entries that are:
(a) automatically generated by computer; or
(b) incomplete.
9.4 The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.
9.5 No refunds of the entry fee will be given in any event, including;
(a) if, following your entry into the competition, you subsequently find out that you are not eligible to enter the competition or claim the Prize;
(b) if, following your entry into the competition the eligibility criteria for entering the competition or claiming the Prize changes and you are no longer eligible; or
(c) if you are disqualified from the competition by the Promoter for any reason.
9.6 Entrants can enter the competition as many times as they wish until the maximum number of entries have been received. Entrants submitting free entries must submit each entry separately. Bulk entries, if received, will not be accepted and will only be counted as one single entry.
- Anti-Money Laundering Policy
10.1. On top of complying with all conditions as laid out by “The Gambling Act 2005” in relation to prize competitions, BIG DADDY PRIZES has put in place measures to prevent its systems from being used for the purposes of money laundering, terrorist financing or any other criminal activity.
10.2 That Prize Guy is committed to preventing money laundering and combat the financing of terrorism in order to minimise and manage its reputational risk, legal risk and regulatory risk. It is also committed to its wider social responsibility in preventing crime by not allowing its systems to be used to commit crimes.
10.3 In order to adhere to Anti Money Laundering regulations and requirements, That Prize Guy shall:
appoint a designated Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) whose responsibility it is to report possible acts of money laundering to the authorities. This role belongs to “Paul Harkin”
10.4 Take reasonable steps to establish the identity of any person for whom it is proposed to provide its service.
10.5 Keep at all times a secure online list of all registered Players.
10.6 Retain identification and transactional documentation for each Player.
10.7 Provide initial and ongoing training to all relevant staff so that they are aware of their personal responsibilities and the procedures in respect of identifying Players, monitoring Player activity, record-keeping and reporting any unusual/suspicious transactions.
10.8 Ensure that this policy is reviewed and maintained regularly.
10.9 Examine, as much as is possible, the background and purpose of any complex or large transactions or groups of transactions which are likely, by their nature, to be related to money laundering or the funding of terrorism.
10.10 Not accept or open anonymous Accounts or Accounts in fictitious names such that the true beneficial owner is not known.
10.11 Not register a Player who is under eighteen (18) years of age.
10.12 Only register a single account in the name of a particular person.
10.13 Transfer payments of winnings or refunds back to the same route from where the funds originated, where possible.
10.14 Not accepting cash from Players. Funds may be received from Players only by any of the approved methods.
10.15 Terminate a Player’s registration if it becomes aware that a person has provided false information when onboarding.
10.16 Report any suspicion or knowledge of money laundering of terrorism financing to the authorities.
10.17 Cooperate with all relevant administrative, enforcement and judicial authorities in their endeavour to prevent and detect criminal activity.
